Water, most precious and most threatened element on earth is the theme of the series ‘The Water Hunters’, created in 2020.
The title refers to the hunt for this precious element, the aggressive capture of something that obviously cannot be “possessed”. After all water flows out of our hands and cannot by its very nature, be grasped.
This unbridled urge – to own something even which is by definition impossible to own, has always been the most fearful and self-destructive of human characteristics.
Unfortunately, this all too common approach towards our resources is barely considered outlandish; indeed it threatens to become a perfectly plausible nightmare scenario in which “the few” possess this most precious asset for the foreseeable future, thus threatening the existence of entire communities, perhaps even the the human race itself.
