In this work, jute represents the ‘terra ferma’ of our convictions, the point of departure from which the roots spread. They grow in a singular direction as if guided by an invisible compass, attracted by the irredescent richness of the velour, with its rich and varied
densities of reflected luminosity. By using these contrasting fabrics I intend to highlight the exchange and integration of the diverse states of the human condition.
These states often result in conflict and the roots, entangled within themselves, speak of the origin of this conflict. Once illuminated, they reveal the completeness of its parts and its possible integration.
Even in the darkest moments of human conflict, light offers us the possibility of evolving.
