Fainting slowly , Cor edition

During my residency con @Cor.land in Tarzo, I created a more elaborated version of ‘Faiting slowly’—a 4-meter copper wire mesh, hand-knitted into the form of a corset, embracing a 15 meters tall pine tree. This work reflects on the invisible but pervasive mental constraints that shape our relationship with the natural world, exploring how these imposed structures—rooted in patriarchal and anthropocentric thinking—can constrict the vitality of both nature and the self. The copper corset, at once protective and suffocating, becomes a metaphor for the delicate tension between control and freedom, tradition and growth. The piece was unveiled at the event @cortilidellarte in Fratta di Tarzo inviting viewers to question what is nurtured and what is stifled when human systems seek to bind the untamed.
My heartfelt thanks go to @moCa@artelagunaprice, and @corland for making this work possible. Their unwavering dedication and tireless support—extended to me and my fellow artists — have been invaluable in bringing this vision to life.
Cor – Spazi Pubblici Palpitanti is a project for the social and cultural revitalization of the village of Fratta di Tarzo, in the province of Treviso—an event that celebrates contemporary art within a historic setting in the process of renewal. The project is funded through the “Bando Borghi” program with resources from NextGenerationEU – PNRR, and was presented by the Municipality of Tarzo.
